So, Im back, the server was down hence no posts for a hell of a longtime. I was in the UK over the majority of Christmas and New Year which was great as ever! A legendary NYE at my friend Lee’s house with all the friends, families bringing their own lovingly homemade dishes for everyone to try, plus we managed to have the first BBQ of the year! London was interesting as ever, there is a contender to St-Johns, 32 Queen Street but I didn’t have time to eat there I did however try out Daylesford Organic in Westbourne Grove which was great. It combines an organic food store with both a Raw food restaurant and a classic English restaurant, I had the Cornish Fish Pie which was tasty, filling and well presented but it was a little pricey compared to J Sheeky’s Fish Pie but it was organic so you do get what you pay for. A number of Daylesfod Organics are popping up all over London so definitely something worth checking out again. Whenever I am in the UK over Christmas I am always served Brussel Spouts, Im not a massive fan of them but Nigel Slater offers some interesting alternatives I might try out. On the subject of English food being great, NY Times just before Christmas posted a negative article however that critiscim was well countered by The Guardians Jay Rayner. This week we rediscovered Sven Vath’s fantastic dance moves in the 80’s with 16 Bit but we also found him with Miss Kitten still pulling them off!
